The SensWear MAX30101 PPG daughter board enables high-quality optical biosensing for advanced physiological monitoring and research applications. Featuring multi-wavelength photoplethysmography with IR, Red, and Green light channels, the module captures rich cardiovascular and hemodynamic signals that can be processed for a wide range of health and human-centric sensing use cases. It connects seamlessly to the SensWear mainboard via I²C for synchronized, multimodal data acquisition.
This daughter board supports core wearable sensing applications such as heart-rate monitoring, SpOâ‚‚ estimation, respiration rate extraction, and reliable wear detection. Beyond standard metrics, the multi-channel optical data enables exploration of advanced and emerging biomarkers, including blood pressure estimation, arterial elasticity assessment, cardiovascular aging indicators, and arterial stiffness analysis. These capabilities make it particularly suitable for AI-driven physiological modeling and longitudinal health research.
